We're happy to announce the provisional dates for this years Southern Youth Bouldering Championships taking place on the 7th & 8th Decemeber.
We are inviting all young climbers across the country to come and join us for this incredible event. It is a real chance for youth climbers to showcase their talent in a fun and supportive environment.
The SYBC is a bouldering event dedicated to all young climbers aged between 8 and 19 years old. It is an open event meaning any young climber with a passion for competition can come and take part.

Squad Trophy
This year we will be awarding a trophy for the best performing climbing squad for the second time. Decided by the total rank points gained by competitors who make it through to semis and beyond, who will take the squad win this year?

To take part in the Southern Youth Bouldering Championships (SYBC) climbers must register online below in advance of the event.
Due to the nature of the event we cannot accept walk-ins on the day.
Registration is super-easy and takes less than 5 minutes. An entry fee of £30 applies at the time of registration.

Each day is structured as follows:
QUALIFICATIONS
20 blocs redpoint format, with a 2.5 hour timeframe for all Categories
SEMI-FINALS
8 blocs per Category with up to 5 attempts per bloc
FINALS
3-bloc showcase finals, 4 minute timeframe per bloc

Each year we have a limited edition SYBC t-shirt on offer for all participants.

Our fantastic Crux Cafe at Building 5 will be making hot food all day including our fantastic freshly baked pizzas.
Plus Smoothies, Shakes and Juices as well as our freshly ground coffee and speciality teas from Extract Coffee will also be available until after the finals.
